HOW? Through a unique and unforgettable cycling experience. Have you ever done 335 kilometres in a single day? Have you ever been to the sunny side of the Alps? Have you visited Slovenia?  Here it is, our big annual event for cyclists of all ages, both genders participating at the longest bike ride in Slovenia. It is not a race. It is just a good, long night and day ride with your new cycling mates and friends from Slovenia and all around the world.

 Meet Simon, Slovenian adventurer cyclist who is in charge of organizing the most challenging cycling event in Slovenia. So take a ride, dare to be different, dare to be “DIAGONAL”.

Package tour:

Day 1: Thursday, the 13^th of June 2019: ARRIVAL OF THE CYCLISTS, WELCOME DRINK AND INTRODUCTION AT HOTEL “DIANA” (Murska Sobota lies app. 210 km from Ljubljana Airport).

Individual arrivals to Slovenia (for the participants from Ljubljana Airport, Zagreb Airport and Graz Airport, we organize transfers to the hotel to Murska Sobota). Arrival to the north-eastern part of Slovenia, to Prekmurje region, to HOTEL DIANA*** in Murska Sobota. Check in and at 18.00 welcome drink with the organizers of the SLOVENIAN DIAGONAL 335, short briefing and introduction of the 335 km ride from the most north-eastern point of Slovenia Trdkova village to the most southwest point Portorose on the seaside. Dinner for the participants, free time and overnight.

Day 2: Friday, the 14^th of June 2019:  SHORT INTRODUCTION BIKE TOUR OF THE PREKMURJE REGION – FREE AFTERNOON FOR REST – NIGHT TRANSFER TO THE STARTING POINT OF TRDKOVA

From 7.00  to 9.00 breakfast in the hotel.  At 10.00 am we will meet our local bike guide who will take us to a short bike tour of the Prekmurje region. We will ride through typical villages, and stop in Bogojina where you can find one of the most interesting churches in Slovenia – The ˝white dove” church which is the work of the most known and most famous Slovenian architect Joze Plecnik.  After some short ascents and descents over the rolling hills of Prekmurje, we will ride towards Dobrovnik and Moravci Spa Resort for a coffee break. After that we will ride back to the hotel to Murska Sobota. Individual lunch and free afternoon for resting and preparing your bikes and luggages for the tour. Dinner in the hotel. At 22:45 there will be an organized transfer of the cyclists to the starting point of the event in Trdkova. Final registration and preparations for the start. Start time of the SLOVENIAN DIAGONAL 335 is midnight. 00.00, 00.00 km. Let’s do it!

Day 3: Saturday, the 15^th of June 2019:  DAY OF THE SLOVENIAN DIAGONAL 335 TOUR

We continue our night ride through northeast Slovenia to Ptuj, where we will take a short break and refresh ourselves. After that we continue our tour over the hills towards of Celje, later on the Trojane pass where we will take a break and then ride towards our next stop: the Slovenian capital – Ljubljana. Here we will take a longer 30 min break and visit the famous market place. After that we continue our tour through Vrhnika and Predjama, till the Karst region of Slovenia. A few longer uphills, before we stop to admire the view of the Adriatic Sea deep below the Kras plateau and ride down to Koper –  to our last stop. Cycling on the Slovenian coast on the once narrow–gauge railway track Parenzana we arrive to Portorose to the finishline. After a short break and refreshment check in to hotel Bernardin in Portorose. Dinner in the hotel, time for chatting and partying overnight.

Day 4, Sunday, the 16^th of June 2019: MORNING RIDE ON THE SLOVENIAN COAST, TRANSFER TO MURSKA SOBOTA IN THE AFTERNOON

Breakfast in the hotel. After that a short morning cycling to relax our muscles and to enjoy the fresh Mediterranean air on the seaside. It is time to have fun, time for a coffee and to take some pictures.

At 11.00 am check out from the hotel. A walk to the beautiful town of Piran, some free time for shopping and lunch individually. At 14.00 bike and luggage packing. Organized transfer to Ljubljana, Celje and Murska Sobota to hotel DIANA in the afternoon. End of the tour.
